Songs Of Equality

I have a dream; I have one too,
A dream for me, a dream for you,
A dream derived from Dr. King,
A man whose dream, in mine we sing.

I have a dream; all are the same,
A place where colors have no name,
And in this dream his wish is sung,
As peaceful words roll off each tongue.

Within these songs we all are kissed,
By summers’ breeze and autumns’ mist,
A dream so free, beneath the sun,
Where everyone loves everyone.

And birds so bright, they catch the eye,
Are soaring high across the sky,
All listening to our song of peace,
But now my friends, this dream must seize.

For there’s a plague that lurks around,
From state to city, town to town,
This plague is so real, unlike my dream,
Like millions yelling in one scream.

But mine alone will not be strong,
You must join in and sing a song,
A song of peace and peace of mind,
And in this song is where they’ll find...

Our dream.
