  Music

In 1995, Keith and his friends who played music together at different times in the past decided to start up a new band, “Aurora Borealis.” The band members were Keith Christian (vocals and guitar), Bill Hagee (bass), Tony Reyes (guitar), and Mark Palumbo (drums). These four musicians were highly determined and motivated, but more importantly they shared a feeling of unity and true friendship.

Keith wrote the lyrics to the songs, which were drawn from his own life experiences and those who were close to him. The band’s unique sound was attained from the blending of the band member’s individual styles and the sharing of ideas during their jam sessions. Aurora Borealis had a strong stage presence and always captured the interest of their audience. They performed locally in Philadelphia venues; The Middle East, Firenze, Boot & Saddle, The Blarney Stone, and O’Connor’s Pub.

In 1998, Keith along with Bill, his best friend, began collaborating on a new music endeavor, “Madame O’Clock.” The name was derived from Keith’s perception of time. An excerpt from Keith’s writings reveal, “The clock and it’s carousal of numbers be the dancing horses for the kings of our life line; time.” The songs of Madame O’Clock were recorded by Keith, Bill, and Mark. A demo was in progress at the time of Keith’s death.

The music on this website is a snippet of the many timeless, diversified songs created by Keith and his friends. It was through their combined talent and creativity that they were able to achieve such an incomparable sound and had a great time doing it!
